Whether you’re new to bonsai or have years of experience, you’ll find friendly guidance, hands‑on learning, and a place to grow.

A calm, hands‑on approach to bonsai
Bonsai teaches us to slow down and notice what is already there. At Rain Shadow Bonsai Club, we embrace a wabi‑sabi spirit—finding beauty in imperfection, age, weathering, and change.
Our meetings and classes focus on:
- Working with the tree you have, not the tree you imagine
- Seasonal care suited to our high‑desert climate
- Learning through observation, conversation, and practice
No pressure. No competition. Just shared experience.
Monthly meetings (open to all)
Bring your trees, we can work on them together wherever you need help!
We meet the first Saturday of each month, March through October.

Greenhouse Garden Center
2450 S Curry Street, Carson City, NV
🕚 Time
11:00 AM – Noon
Look for us near the white gazebo along the main path.

Beginner & continuing classes
We offer structured beginner classes as well as ongoing learning opportunities for developing artists. Classes emphasize practical skills—watering, pruning, wiring, repotting—while building confidence and understanding.
Materials are often provided, and beginners are always welcome.
