As winter settles in and our bonsai trees slip into their peaceful seasonal slumber, it’s the perfect time to let our imaginations take root. While the branches rest, our minds are busy dreaming — and your club administrators are hard at work behind the scenes, crafting a joyful and enriching year ahead!
We’re planning a fresh lineup of bonsai adventures for 2026, including:
- 🌱 Hands-on classes for beginners and seasoned growers alike
- 🌳 Advanced topics to deepen your bonsai knowledge
- 🚗 Field trips to explore, learn, and connect with nature and each other
Whether you’re just starting your bonsai journey or nurturing a forest of tiny trees, we’re excited to bring you opportunities to grow, share, and celebrate together. Stay cozy, stay curious — and get ready for a new year full of bonsai fun!

Beginner Bonsai Classes

- April 4th – Shaping and Styling
- May 2nd – Potting and Presentation

Class cost and Materials fee: $80.00

- Japanese Juniper Tree
- Bonsai Pot
- Soil
- Wire
- Bonsai Clippers
- “Bonsai Pocket Guide”, Jason Chang

Payment secures your reservation for the class! No refunds, you will be
caught up at the next class.

The beginner class proposal has been approved by David Ruf, owner of Green House Garden Center. There will be one class consisting of three sessions. Each session will be one and a half to two hours in duration and conducted at a location TBD. The first session will be in March, second in April and third in May. See flyer for details. Link to the Flyer. A tree, pot, tools, wire, book and soil will be provided to each student. Fifteen students will make up the first class.
