âť“ Do I need to own a bonsai tree to join?
Not at all! Many of our members started with curiosity and no tree. We offer beginner-friendly classes and plenty of guidance to help you get started.
âť“ How much does it cost to attend meetings?
Monthly meetings are free and open to the public. Some classes or field trips may have a small fee to cover materials or guest instructors, but we always keep costs low and transparent.
âť“ Where and when do you meet?
We meet on the first Saturday of each month from March through October at: 📍 Greenhouse Garden Center – 2450 S Curry St., Carson City, NV 🕙 Time: 10:00 AM to Noon Look for us at the white gazebo halfway up the path on the right.
âť“ What happens at a typical meeting?
Meetings include:
- Demonstrations and seasonal care tips
- Guest speakers and member Q&A
- Tree sharing and informal mentoring
- Announcements about upcoming classes and trips
âť“ Can kids or families attend?
Absolutely! We welcome bonsai lovers of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and we occasionally offer family-friendly activities.

âť“ What is suiseki?
Suiseki is the Japanese art of viewing stones—naturally shaped rocks that evoke landscapes or objects. We host occasional stone hunts and workshops to explore this beautiful tradition.
âť“ How can I get involved or become a member?
Just show up to a meeting or reach out via email! We don’t require formal membership dues, but we encourage participation in classes, trips, and newsletter contributions.
