At Rain Shadow Bonsai Club, we believe that learning extends beyond the meeting room. Our field trips offer members the chance to explore inspiring bonsai gardens, connect with regional experts, and deepen their appreciation for nature and stone.

Note: Transportation is typically carpool-style. Details will be shared via email and at monthly meetings.

- Bonsai Garden at Lake Merritt – Oakland, CA A day immersed in one of the West Coast’s most celebrated bonsai collections.
- Suiseki Stone Hunt – Pyramid Lake Members explored the shoreline for naturally sculpted stones and shared their finds over a picnic lunch.
- Local Nursery Tour – Reno, NV Behind-the-scenes access to specialty growers and a chance to shop for unique pre-bonsai material.
